The number of dead from the severe earthquake in the region around Mount Everest rose to 95 on Tuesday, China’s state news agency Xinhua reported as more bodies were recovered. A further 130 people were injured by the quake in the Tibet autonomous region of China, the agency reported in the afternoon. Powerful tremors occurred in Dingri County, which lies on the north side of Mount Everest and about 400 kilometres west of the Tibetan capital Lhasa. According to Xinhua, around 6,900 people live a
